Your organization is already doing the work of listening to the people you serve, but are you getting credit for it?
Highlighting your work with Listen4Good on Charity Navigator and Candid can strengthen your profiles and deepen trust with the audiences who matter most to your mission. Donors use Charity Navigator and Candid to gather information about nonprofits that they are interested in supporting. Providing this information shows potential donors how you listen and incorporate community voice in your work.
Both Candid and Charity Navigator include a How We Listen section asking you to self-describe how you integrate community feedback into your work. The criteria for this section was informed by Listen4Good’s Best Practices Guide and the feedback community so you likely already have these practices in place.
Here’s some helpful tips for completing this part of your profile:
- Mention your Listen4Good participation
- Describe a recent program change that resulted from feedback
- Follow these instructions to check off the practices you’re utilizing
- View the Fundraising & Communications Toolkit for help drafting your response
