Superpower: Forging values-aligned partnerships that scale impact
While our Director of Partner Services, Sachi Takahashi Rial is on maternity leave, Cesar will serve as interim Director of Partner Services.
Cesar brings deep experience scaling mission-driven initiatives across the globe. Most recently as Director of Global Partnerships at Candid, he led a diverse team in building strategic relationships with philanthropic institutions, governments, and multilateral agencies. Previously at Catchafire, he spearheaded global growth including programs in Australia and the Caribbean in partnership with the Clinton Foundation. Earlier roles include launching Hult Prize Foundation’s Mexico City office and scaling social entrepreneur incubation programs across Latin America. His foundational work includes co-founding a social enterprise in India that tackled food insecurity in urban slaums and later expanded to Ghana.
Throughout his career, Cesar has been driven to bring greater transparency, measurability, and accountability to the social sector. He fiercely advocates for equitable grantmaking, working to ensure that impact dollars reach proximate leaders and BIPOC-led organizations. Cesar holds a B.S. in Statistics from UC Berkeley and an M.B.A. from ESADE Business School in Barcelona.
Why Feedback?
“Feedback is the cornerstone of accountability and equitable grantmaking. When we actively listen to proximate leaders and the communities they serve, we ensure that impact dollars are distributed effectively and power is shifted to those who know the solutions best.“
